Reflection and evaluation:

I used a low shutter speed for some of the photos which would make some parts of my body blurry while some stayed in focus, adding to the cloudy, fog effect. In some, I tried to keep my face still while moving my arms so that only my face would be in focus. I liked how this turned out as my face remained the only thing in the photo that appeared "human" whilst the rest of my body was a blur. I placed the camera on the ground at a very low angle so that the viewer would feel like they're on the ground looking up at me. I chose this angle as it makes the subject appear quite threatening and overpowering. In Limbo, Dante seems to be quite terrified so I want the viewer to feel a similar sort of fear or intimidation.

I chose to use a blue tinted light as this is meant to be the first circle, closest to the surface and furthest away from all the pain, suffering and blood that Dante witnesses as he descends further down. I kept the ceiling lights on to see so that it wasn't completely dark and they ended up being the perfect contrast between the blue light, appearing almost orange/pink on camera. However, because it was still quite dim in the room, the photos had a lot of noise and didn't turn out as crisp and clear. I decided to see this as a plus rather than a negative because Limbo is meant to be dark and dim.

I especially liked the shots where you can see an open door leading to an orange tinted room because it is almost foreshadowing the raging flames and horrors Dante is about to witness as he goes further down into Hell or in this case into the other rooms in my flat.
